We’ve been playing around with NativeScript from Telerik a lot. While it’s still in heavy development, it’s shaping up nicely.

One of the best things that it offers isn’t really anything to do with the language itself. It’s the ability to run development apps without a provisioning profile on iOS.

Very cool.

How does it work? You simply download their companion app, open a URL or scan a QR code and your development app downloads straight away. If you’re sending apps to people to test, not having to manage the drudgery of provisioning certificates, UDIDs, and provisioning profiles is a godsend. Even better, you can reload the app straight away with a three finger tap.

It’s curious that other iOS development platforms haven’t looked into the possibility of offering this.
